My first visit to Lal Mandir @ Manak Chowk, my family believe in this temple a lot. Every Jain temple has 'Mulnaayak', in simple words a chief God. Lord Aadinath is the mulnaayak of this temple, accompanied with many other theerthankars. The whole temple is painted in red (geru) and therefore called as Lal Mandir.
Mom and Me praying to Lord Aadinath
Another importance of this temple is Manbhadr Baba, he's believed to be Dadi's kul and ishth dev. Manbhadr Baba is also known as Khadagda Wale Baba. His place of worship and his idol is decorated beautifully.
Wish you merry christmas and a very happy new year ahead. On the christmas eve I dressed in red like Santa, and I was the only Santa who got gifts in return :) Dad and Chachu got me a walker as my first gift. Vishal Nanu presented me a cute doll. We planned to visit church but dropped the plan due to cold.
Today (15th, November 2009) we, me and Mom were welcomed to enter our kitchen. For last one month and a quater, since my birth Mom was at complete rest and both of us were restrained to our room and hall. In our religion, Jainism we believe both mom and baby cannot enter any sacred place for a month and a quater. This period is called as 'Sutak', and that's why we were not allowed in our kitchen as well. Mumma welcomed me and Mom. Mom now get back to work yours maternity leaves are over :)
Nannu & Laddu Bua came today to tie 7 coloured threads on my hands. None of us in our family know why do Buas do this, but as a custom we followed the same. I was not in a very good mood that day a bit upset.
Today I wana to tell you about 'My First Best Friend'. He's no other than my 'ceiling fan'.
Dad says that I have a strangest fascination with them.. Why Strange?? I never understand. He's with me all time, I coo and woo with him. Also, he follows all my orders and start moving round and round whenever I demand. When I am upset or crying he make me feel glad. I shout on him and the poor guy never utter even a word back to me. He has all traits of a good boy(fan) friend.
As I said there will be a debate for my name.. and see it has started. Here's the trail संस्कृति -> सुहासी -> अस्मी -> अवनि ->आर्या 'Champu Mama' suggested a name 'Aadhya' and Dad glazed it to 'Aryaa'. Here are a few excerpt from web detailing out meaning in Arabic, Sanskrit and Hindi.
One of Dadu's friend's wife (Palorkar Dadi), she's well versed with sanskrit also this name. According to her findings 'Aryaa' means 'Indian Lady', so am I. :)
Champu Mama has associated an another meaning to Aryaa
There's is one more relation of Aryaa and that is with Maths. Invention of zero is related to Arya Bhatt and hence as per Hindi, Sanakrit, Arabic and Maths name seems too perfect and too good and too cute.
Here's me with Chachu, Daddu & Mumma. Snaps were taken on diwali eve, every one was waiting for Diwali Poojan mean while we had a round of photo session ;) Daddu, Chachu & Dad dressed in white kurta paijama and were looking smart. Daddu is the best out of trio. We hope a more addition to family by next diwali .. "Chachi" ;) What do you say, Chachu?? and now I will be the one who will shortlist one for you. :D
The most painful part of my day routine, I am a bit scared of malish (massage & exercise). Daai Maa daily come at noon and here starts her therepy. She first do a massage with olive oil & help me in exercises. She bent, fold and strech my arms and legs. Also, sometimes she use to hang me upside down. Later she do loi, rub my body with dough. Loi is done to remove unnecessary hairs. And at last the most relaxing session of bath with warm water. I enjoy bath but hate loi and malish.
Once done with bath she tie me in a cloth. I use to get tired after all these exercises and then I enjoy a long after noon sleep for 2-3 hours.
The gods illuminated Pavanagari by lamps to mark the occasion. Since that time, the people of Bharat celebrate the famous festival of "Dipalika" to worship the Jinendra (i.e. Lord Mahavira) on the occasion of his nirvana.
Dipalikaya roughly translates as "light leaving the body". Dipalika, which can be roughly translated as "splenderous light of lamps", is used interchangeably with the word "Diwali".
I wish you a very 'Happy Diwali & Prosperous New Year.'
We had a great Diwali celebration together. Chachu came back from Pune on 'Dhanteras'. He got me a half dozen pair of pretty dresses, I liked the Chachu's choice and I am sure he has a better taste then Dad. Mumma prepared Laddu, Daddu and Dad assisted her in preparations. I didn't had a bite of those, Mumma next Diwali I will surely have teeth and would be much mature digestive system to digest those by next diwali. Dad, Mom and Chachu made rangoli and lit up lamps for diwali night. Every one decorated our house new new bedsheets, twinkling lights around. I sat down on deewan and kept watching all activities. This was my first Diwali poojan, we all worshipped Goddess Laxmi and Saraswati for wealth and knowledge.
The bad part of day was the late night when all the children of our colony started firing crackers. I am a bit scared of bombs, I was awake all night frightened of noise. Mom gave me a company whole night and we slept at 5.00 next morning.
I am today 10 days old :) BTW gals don't tell there age but m not of that type. Me, Mom & Pa doing masti at home. Dad is always confused.. and now the issue is for my name. He initially thought of 'Sanskriti' but now he doesn't like that name. BTW I do have many nick names. Every one call me with his own set of names.. lemme list it out otherwise I'll forget such a long list. Daddu call me Lado & Naanu, Dad call me Shona, Bebu, Ghota, Mom call me Princa Mumma call me Chutki... Chachu will suerly come with some new name.
Ek nannhi si jaan kein kitne naam. Yeah naam ki ramayan to abhi aur chalne waali hai. There will be another sure write up in future on this wait and watch. Bbye for now m feeling sleepy today. And my Grand Grand Grany is leaving today for Jaipur. She came here in Indore for delivery and helping me.
So finally after a long Mom took the pain to capture me & Dad.. and here's 'We'. BTW Dad is awake and pretending to sleep to add another flavour to the pic. For a last week or two he was a bit unwell but now up and running ;). Since for now he is penning my words thank you 'Pa' for understanding me and my emotions.
And here comes my first cosmetic kit, today I visited Dr. Ma'am clinic and consulted the best set of baby cosmetic products. And here comes the long list.... Dad was like surprized, I said 'kya Dad itne mein hi ghabra gaye, there are many more such list to come, tab kya karonge'. Poor Dad kya karte le kar aaye sabhi. Also I have started taking Ostocalcium syrup today for strong bones and teeth.

On the sixth day of birth its said that "Vidhata Maata" enlightens baby with knowledge. The first lesson of life is taught by her on the very sixth day. So today all of us invited Vidhata Mata to bless me with knowledge and wisdom.
Mumma draw a 'swastik' before setting up my study table. Then she kept a chouki(study table), plain paper and a pen as an initial setup for my first class. Our mandir at home was my first school and my first teacher was 'Vidhaata Mata'. :)
Today I had second sunbath, getting skin yellow is a usual symptom because of high level of bilirubin in blood. These has made my skin and eye a little yellowish. I went upstairs at our roof with Mumma and Dad, and was exposed to sun light for 2o minutes.
Mumma taking care of mine, I kicking Dad on his camera.
I came back to home from Arihant Hospital on 7th October eve. Dad drove me back in our new car, Grany & Mumma accompnied me and Mom. See here in the pic below my Mumma carrying me with Mom to our home. Everyone is allset and ready to welcome me ..
My Dadu call me 'Lado'.. soooo sweet. He and Mumma(Dadi) loves me a lot and I love them too much. I am troubling mumma too much, you know what mumma didn't have a sleep for last 3 days and she's everready to help me in feeding, potty time and what not. I am missing my Chachu.. he came twice expecting mom to deliver me but I was so rude with him. Sorry Chachu :(.. we will have lotz of fun this Diwali togeather.
I was taken out in sunlight for the first time. Dad kept praying God for me to shower knowledge, health and happiness. Poor Dad is not in any of the pic, poor guy always busy taking snaps of mine and no one bother to take any of his pic with me.
Thank You Mom for giving me so precious life, for the pains, for your love and care and for everything that I cannot understand at this stage. I love you so much !! :)..
